Teaching

My approach to teaching can be summarized by three interconnected goals:

  1. To create an inclusive and engaging learning environment
  2. To enable students to be critical consumers and producers of information
  3. To support student learning through research experience opportunities

I continually strive to become an even more effective teacher by incorporating student feedback, learning new pedagogical techniques, and developing new materials and activities to engage students.

My teaching interests are broad and I have taught or will be teaching a variety of courses, including:

  • Introduction to Psychology
  • Personality Psychology
  • Seminar in Positive Psychology
  • Abnormal Psychology
  • Lab in Social/Personality Psychology
  • Lab in Research Methods

I am also prepared to teach a range of other courses, including but not limited to:

  • Social Psychology
  • Research Methods and Statistics
  • Special Topics Courses – Social Cognition, Self and Identity, Stereotyping and Prejudice, Attitudes and Social Influence, Interpersonal Relationships
